Hello Abby and Nick,
It was a pleasure to meet you both yesterday to talk about accepting a donation of my photography to NYPresbyterian. I know you are both extremely busy, and I really appreciate you taking the time to discuss something that is very close to my heart.
Here is the link for the more select “Patterns/Abstracts” we looked at:

NYP Patterns and Abstracts from Harry Agress Photography

Now that I have a better feel for what you are looking for, I will go thru my photographs and see if I have other images that I think would be appropriate. If you any questions, please feel free to contact me or see information below.

I look forward to working with you both.

With warm regards,

Harry

Hello Nick,
It was a pleasure speaking with you today about a donation of my fine art photographs to New York Presbyterian. As I mentioned, I have a very close relationship with NYP, both as a Clinical Professor of Radiology, having been teaching for over 35 years and because of my residency training at Columbia. Both of my children are graduates of Columbia Business School. So I have developed very appreciative and warm feelings toward Columbia and NYP over the years.

I invite you to take a look at my recently updated website which is divided into two separate collections: Global Collections (by Country) which are somewhat more esoteric than the Nature and Wellness Collection which was created specifically for Healthcare Facility Interior Design and listed by subject. Just click on either collection above to view further.

My most recent Global additions include New York City, Moab, Utah, Spain, Portugal and Italy. You can go directly to these collections by just clicking on any of the blue titles. There are quite a few options, both in terms of photographs and layouts such as triptychs, clusters, etc.(click here to see examples of Triptych/Composites Series Collection).

Please find, below, my Artist’s Healthcare and Art Statement and a brief description of my News and Events.

I look forward to discussing this potential project with you further. As I mentioned, I would be more than happy to stop by and give a short presentation for you and Abby. It would also be interesting to discuss the use of images for educational purposes, such as to stimulate pediatric patients to write about what they see or draw their vision of certain photographs.

With warm regards,

Harry

Artist’s Healthcare and Art Statement

Art in the workplace can have a significant emotional impact not only on staff, but, also their customers, clients or in the case of healthcare, patients. It creates a calming, restorative and often inspiring environment.

Art allows the mind to expand beyond the workplace, taking you on a journey that may enhance imagination and creativity. As a physician and photographer, I feel that art can also have a major healing and soothing effect on patients and staff, providing a positive atmosphere of comfort and hope.

Healthcare visits can frequently trigger feelings of anxiety and art can have an extremely positive effect, creating a soothing environment of beauty, color, fun and often distraction. This collection includes a section, "For Kids," which was created as a focal point for a child's unique imagination to take them to other worlds, to foster discussion and stimulate curiosity.
